First of all - thank you for a very fruitful discussion. Interestingly I found myself feeling drained after our talk, in the same manner that I feel sometimes when my chiropractor releases some blocked chi. I was lucky that my meeting immediately following our call had a tightly scripted agenda that allowed me to get through it with a minimum of energy expenditure. I went for a walk that evening along the river at sunset and let nature have its soothing and rejuvinating effect on me.
It was intriguing to me - I noted in the middle of our conversation – that I don’t even know you and here I was opening up honestly, and forthrightly. I suppose the annonymity of the telphone helped that . But I also think that I was open to what the Universe had provided. A spur of the moment e-mail to Steve had prompted him to connect the two of us. Who am I to allow such an opportunity to pass unheeded?
Being results oriented I can appreciate your style: Define the crux of the matter, state the expectations and define the measure of success. I don’t always execute that as successfully as you did in our conversation. I am committed to my Next Step. And I feel better about allowing whatever will happen next, to happen.
I needed to be reminded to respect the person, even if I don’t respect the skills. That will help be tone down my “directness” with those who are not as open to it.

Many times in life you make promises to change and spend the majority of the time making lists, setting goals and getting ready to change but fail miserably after about 30 days when the will power and life happenings set in.
